Anodes
Anodes protect your boat hull from corrosion. Salt water attacks metal and causes it to deteriorate. An aluminium anode is suitable for all water types whilst zinc anodes are suited to salt water. Salt water conducts electricity and attacks the least noble metal. A sacrificial anode will always be the least noble and will attract any of the electrical current, thus protecting your boat. They need to be replaced periodically, luckily here at Mailspeed Marine we stock a wide range of different anodes for use on your boat as well as equipment to go with an anode such as a galvanic isolator.
