Description
The Portland Course Plotter is one of the most popular chart work instruments and is widely used by RYA practical & shore based instructors. It provides a quick method of plotting course and bearings and gives a direct reading of corrections for magnetic variation. This version has been developed in consultation with the RYA and has been engineered for both strength & fine accuracy.

Has a bright blue directional arrow that prevents accidental reciprocal bearings and the edges are graduated for tide and boat speed. The base has a fixed grid so it is easy to plot latitude.

Plot bearings, courses and tidal vectors. No need to move instrument across the chart. Moveable compass rose. Graduated with metric chart scales. Size 360 x 130mm.
