The Seago Liferaft ISO 9650 has been designed for extended offshore cruising and all weather racing. This liferaft is a popular seller for us because of its practical design, top quality construction and great value price.
Specially built and tested to the new comprehensive and technical ISO standards, this liferaft is available in 4, 6 and 8 man sizes, and packed in a Valise or Cannister.
The ISO 9650 standard for liferafts is a comprehensive technical specification covering all the materials used in the construction of the raft. It also spells out a full performance specification covering inflation, launching, material resistance, buoyancy and interior space.
Particular emphasis is placed on the following stability: This is provided by four weighted water pockets with a minimum capacity of 220 litres which guarantee complete security even in uneven loading conditions.
The specification lays down that any person wearing foul weather gear and an inflated lifejacket must be able to board the life raft alone. In order to meet this requirement a self inflating boarding ramp with an internal ladder has been added to allow the person to haul themselves on board the raft. In the event of the liferaft inflating upside down there is a righting strop on the underside of the raft.
The raft is fitted with a high visibility orange canopy with SOLAS approved retro reflective tape and an internal light and a SOLAS approved external light.
The Seago ISO rafts are designed to inflate at temperatures between -15 to +65C with an emergency kit suitable for 24 hours occupancy.
