The Splicing Nut is a product that mechanically splices line in a manner so simple that anyone who can screw in a light bulb, could splice a braided line.

This product has been seven years in the making, in conjunction with the U.S. Army’s Natick Soldier Center, Splicing Nut has been tested & developed for the last three years.

The Splicing Nut holds a patent and there is no similar product on the market, and currently is exclusive to Mailspeed Marine!

Splicing Nut advantages:
- Very simple screw mechanism means now anyone can splice a rope!

- Use instead of a bowline to remove the presense of flapping tails and snagging bulky knots.

- Unlike knots, Splicing nut never comes undone, unless you want it to, at which point it can be easily undone under full load.

- A traditional splice has a long tapered form which easily runs into blocks or sheaves and can jam, particularly if under load. Splicing Nut will create a positive stop to prevent any such jamming..........Ask anyone who has gone up a mast to unshackle a jammed spinnaker in a squall how important a feature this is!

- The Splicing Nut has the ability to be repositioned underway where circumstances or wear dictate, the splice does not.
